Coated vs. Uncoated Aspirin
Can I split or crush aspirin so its coating does not prevent me from fully metabolizing it?
A recent story in The Times reported that it may be the coating, rather than “aspirin resistance,” that prevents people from taking full advantage of aspirin’s benefits.
Uncoated aspirin is hard to find.
If you take coated aspirin and have concerns about its absorption, you are better off crushing the tablets than splitting them.
